'MovieMaker' Places ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Among the Top Film Schools in U.S. and Canada

"MovieMaker” has named in the U.S. and Canada in its Summer 2026 issue.
Founded in 1993, "MovieMaker" focuses on the art and craft of movies and cinematic TV and is a go to information source for anyone who loves moviemaking.
In this year's list, "MovieMaker" highlighted the firsthand experience ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ offers as well as how it brings notable speakers like actor, writer, producer, and director Robert Townsend to campus. It also gave a nod to internship opportunities offered through ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½'s Semester in LA program as well as ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½'s excellent facilities and equipment.

The magazine , the dean of the School of Film and Television, in a section dedicated to film schools and the future. In the piece, Tsao discussed how ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ stresses the importance of teaching students to be adaptable learners.
"We want our students to embrace change, continue learning, and keep creating new work so they can build sustainable careers and maintain their artistic identity," she says.
According to Tsao, students build confidence by working in a collaborative and supportive environment and by learning through experience, improving as they move from project to project.
For Tsao, that combination of hands-on experience, collaboration, and adaptability is essential preparation for an industry that continues to evolve.
ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s inclusion on “MovieMaker’s” 2026 list recognizes an approach to film education designed not only to prepare students for the industry as it exists today but also to equip them to shape what comes next.
