ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Student Film 'The New Raymond' to Compete at Glendale International Film Festival

"The New Raymond," a compelling student film from ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½, is up for Best Student Short at the Glendale International Film Festival in Southern California. The film follows the tale of a burglar who unwittingly becomes entangled in the grief of a couple mourning their recently deceased child.
“The film aims to evoke both intrigue and emotional resonance, leaving viewers with a memorable experience,” says Joe Blaugrund ’24, the film’s director and writer.
The screening will take place on September 27 at 2:50 p.m., with for $15.

Created as part of ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s Cinematography II class, "The New Raymond" highlights the collaborative spirit of its student filmmakers under the guidance of instructors Mark Kluizo and Robert Edgecomb.
“It was fun to work on a project where the director was so excited about collaboration,” says the film’s editor Stella Eddinger, a current Semester in LA student.
Blaugrund is excited to see everyone's hard work up on the big screen. “It’s special to share a labor of love with an audience,” he says.
